The Singaporean’s Guide To: Takeaways and Deliveries

Say you’ve been craving something for so long from a restaurant so exclusive that they don’t even offer takeaway and delivery services.

And then the "circuit breaker" kicked in. So does your distraught.

But fret not my good people, for we at Zeemart & the Singapore F&B Community have a few restaurant suggestions that might just help you get your craving fix. And if you’re lucky, what you’ve been really wanting may just be on this list as well.

Chinese Cuisine

The creators of the famous Black Pepper Crab of Singapore have now launched their delivery and takeaway promotions!

If you call in for delivery, you’ll enjoy a 20% off your total subtotal bill, as long as you reach a $150 on your order.

Check out what’s for delivery and takeaway here!

Arguably one of the most famous chicken rice establishments here in Singapore, Wee Nam Kee never disappoints when it comes to serving our national dish.

Don’t be afraid of missing out on their famous chicken rice from the comfort of your home though. They offer delivery for a minimum of $30 on your order!

Just drop them a text via WhatsApp at 9655 1411 after viewing their menu.

With their aim to popularize the Bao and other Dim Sum dishes, Bao Today has since served many other forms of Chinese delicacies (think Hong Kong Cafe, and you’ll get an idea of what’s served there).

From beef brisket noodles to steamed chicken glutinous rice in bamboo, there are so many options for you to experience Hong Kong on a plate.

While they open their outlets for takeaway, they also host a website that will enable you to do takeaways as well as opt for delivery to certain areas.

Malay Cuisine

Everyone knows Hjh Maimunah. When someone speaks about traditional Malay dishes, chances are that you’d think of Hjh Maimunah first. Their delectable selection of Malay dishes ranging from their famous spicy stingray to their grilled chicken, your tastebuds will have the Malay peninsula on them in no time.

They were also recipients of the coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand award.

They offer delivery service with a minimum of $30 for your order, while delivery charges go from $5 onwards.

Indian Cuisine

Indian cuisine at its finest. From tikka masala to, of course, tandoori chicken, the Riverwalk Tandoor has it all.

They also offer delivery via GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo!

Fusion Food

Japanese Wagyu steaks, brick-oven baked Neapolitan pizza and handmade pastas are just amongst the many things that Ristorante Luka’s offer.

Founded by Japanese chef Takashi Okuno in 2017, Ristorante Luka offers contemporary Italian cuisine with a Japanese touch. This was the result of Okuno’s influence from his childhood experiences of his parents’ Italian restaurant back in Tokyo.

While they don’t offer delivery to their customers, they do offer a 10% off their ala carte menu for takeaway.

Check out their takeaway menu here.

Similar to Ristorante Luka, Saizeriya offers contemporary Italian cuisine with a Japanese flair.

From Hamburger steaks to fine sirloin cuts, ravioli pastas to margherita pizzas, Saizeriya has it all. Not only do they have a wide selection of food items, they also provide free litres’ worth of soft drink when your takeaway order exceeds $10!

Western Cuisine

You know what it is. The home of the ‘Heart Attack Fried Rice’ and their popular baked rice and steaks have launched a delivery and takeaway promotion.

What’s more, they have since launched their combo sets available for delivery and are offering a 20% discount for takeaway/self-collection items!

Japanese Cuisine

You’ve been watching those mukbangers eating those amazing servings of Japanese curry rice.

You’re craving it, you want it so badly. But where can we find it here in Singapore?

You’d be pleased to know that Monster Curry offers a range of Japanese curry rice dishes that include their ‘Combo Curry’ series.

Stacked with a multitude of toppings, these Combo Curries will guarantee your hunger settled.

If that’s not quite your cup of tea, they also have ramen that they serve with their curry broth.

While they do provide delivery, they provide 20% off your order when you opt for a takeaway!

But if you do want an alternative to your ramen though, you should try out Takagi Ramen. With their selection of ramen ranging from Miso broth ramen to even their thick and spicy broth Tantanmen, you’d be spoilt for choice there.

While they provide free delivery for orders above $50, they’ve also launched a $2 Chasu-Don rice bowl (yes, a full adult-portioned rice bowl) for both delivery and takeaway!

Check out their menu and delivery options here!

This Japanese rolled omelette dish has gained a lot of popularity recently. However, not only does Tamago-EN serve Tamagoyaki, it also serves a wide array of Japanese dishes.

From Japanese rice bowls to salads, sandwiches and even desserts, this place is stacked with options for you to choose from.

While they offer delivery via GrabFood, foodpanda and Deliveroo, you can also consider getting a 20% discount if you opt for a takeaway.

Everyone knows what and who Maki-San is. From tempura snacks, sushi to maki, you’ll get your bite-sized Japanese cravings settled in no time.

This is because of their availability on GrabFood, Deliveroo and foodpanda, as well as them hosting their own ecommerce website. They’re currently having a promotion whereby you get 20% off when you apply the promo code “20OFF” upon checkout on their website.

Fried Chicken

Crispy, juicy and succulent Taiwanese fried chicken to give your tastebuds the ultimate treat.

With flavour options such as the ‘Hot Chick’ or their ‘Chee-Z Signature’ which is doused in generous amounts of cheese. Not only that, you’ll also have a variety of Taiwanese teas to choose from (we recommend the Black Dragon).

Check out their menu here, and their delivery details here.

Having been in this industry for 30 years, it’s no surprise that Arnold’s Fried Chicken has established themselves as one of the key players of fried chicken here in Singapore.

With reviewers calling them the best local halal fried chicken chain, their overnight marination of the chicken allows the meat to take on extra flavour, giving it their signature taste.

While they allow for pickup or island-wide delivery, they are also available on food delivery platforms Grab, foodpanda and Deliveroo.

Thai Cuisine

Serving authentic Thai boat noodles, The Original Boat Noodle (they even say it in their name) prepares both rice and springy noodles for you. To make the deal even better, they offer 4 different broths to enjoy your noodles with, giving you that variety to savour.

On top of that, they also offer other authentic Thai dishes like their recommended Kra-Pow (Basil) Chicken Rice.

They’re also halal certified too!

While they offer delivery service via Grabfood, customers get 25% off their order on all items when they opt for a self-pickup.

Mediterranean Cuisine

Craving kebabs, soft Mediterranean bread and halloumi cheese? The good people at Istanbul Turkish Restaurant have got you covered.

With all their meal sets coming with a free drink and their island-wide delivery approach, you’d be sure to be able to enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean from the comfort of your own home.

Tarts, cakes, toasts, puffs and of course, kopi. These local delicacies have made Kopi & Tarts what they are famous for.

While they offer takeaway, they also have deliveries for a minimum of $10 on your order, with $7 charge for island-wide delivery.

Poke Bowl

If you’re wondering what’s Poke, it has nothing to do with the Japanese anime, but it sure does taste good.

Raw, marinated fish that is usually tossed over rice and topped with vegetables and sauces are what makes the dish what it is. If you want to try it out, or if you happen to crave for it, you’d be happy to know that Poke Theory offers islandwide delivery!

Just drop them a text via WhatsApp to place your order! Also, check out their delivery menu here.

Aaand that’s a wrap!

While these are our recommendations during this Circuit Breaker phase, you can always find out whether your favourite eateries offer delivery or pickup services via their social media.

Stay safe! #SGUnited
